Zambrotta hits back the English papers

Posted by Unknown On 8:10 PM
The English papers really upped their bad mouthing about Italian football over the weeks, and finally someone comes forward like a gentleman tells them to SHUT THE F*** UP!

An article in The Times recently described Italy's top flight as “a retirement home for old players” and “a get rich quick scheme.”

However, Zambro, who moved from Barcelona to Milan at the start of the summer, has defended his homeland.

“What makes me laugh is that the English are always the first to talk when they should be the last,” the former Juventus defender growled.

“They should take a look at themselves because they didn't even qualify for Euro 2008.

“As for Serie A being a retirement home, I'm sure that's what I need at the age of 31. I have all the experience to be able to motivate myself.

“Personally I think that the quality of our First Division has improved, but then again you have the same old certainties like Maurizio Zamparini firing his Coach after the first game!”
